We’re an odd beast (like our mascot, the goat). We start companies, like traditional business incubators, but we’re also a social venture that exists to help others.

So you might have a few questions.

Making money

How does PAE make its money?
We start businesses that we believe will be successful. You might say we’re a business of businesses, or a business lab. Kind of like a combination of a holding company and a business incubator.

Are you looking for business ideas from outside PAE?
We mostly develop our own ideas internally. But we’re always open to new ideas and new people to work with. If you like our spirit and are interested in presenting your idea to us, please get in touch.

I’m looking for investors. How should I pitch my company to you?
We’re sorry, but PAE does not invest in other companies. We’re a business incubator that works on a social venture model. But we wish you the best of luck finding money!

Are you a Chinese company or a foreign company?
A bit of both. It’s part of what makes us unique. The founder of the company, Anton Piëch, is from Switzerland and has lived and worked in China for over 8 years. He created PAE as a Chinese company — it is based in Beijing and there are no overseas locations. Our staff is truly international, with people from China, of course, but also all over Asia, from Europe, and the US and some other continents that we aren’t sure really exist…
